COMMON TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDELINES
1. Common error encountered when trying to connect to Globe Broadband Tattoo
COMMON CAUSES & HOW TO RESOLVE:
a. Incompatible SIM and APN used or wrong setting (typo error)
REMINDER: Make sure the SIM used matches the APN
a.
Prepaid SIM APN: http.globe.com.ph
b.
Postpaid SIM APN: internet.globe.com.ph
TROUBLESHOOT: Edit the APN to match the SIM used
Tools -> Options -> Profile Management
Follow the details below:
b. Network-related problem
i. Make sure the area where you’re using Globe Broadband Tattoo has either GPRS, EDGE, 3G, or HSDPA signal
ii. If there’s no signal strength registering in the signal indicator, check the network settings (Tools -> Options -> Network), it might be set to 3G/UMTS/WCDMA Only and the area you’re in has NO 3G coverage. Try resolving by changing the Network Settings to either 3G/UMTS/WCDMA preferred
iii. If the problem still exists, there might be an unexpected outage in an area for 3G network, try changing the Network Settings to GPRS/EDGE/2G only
iv. Inform your respective Area Managers if the problem was not resolved after following the steps above. Don’t forget to indicate the following details:
• Description of the problem (attach screenshot of the error if possible)
• Mobile no. of the prepaid SIM
• Exact location/s
• Date when problem occurred
• Problem occurs everywhere subs go? Or just a specific location?
• Problem encountered just now? Or ever since subs got the unit?
2. Common error encountered when trying to open a website (Page cannot be displayed)
COMMON CAUSES & HOW TO RESOLVE:
a. Proxy settings
i. In the internet explorer browser, choose
Tools then
Internet Options
ii. Then click on Connections -> LAN Settings
iii. Unmark the tick box under Proxy Server
b. Insufficient or NO load
The minimum required load to be able to access mobile internet browsing via Globe Broadband Prepaid Visibility is P5.00. If there is no load or if the remaining balance is insufficient, the subscriber will be able to connect to Tattoo, however, subscriber won’t be able to open any website.
How to make an SMS Balance inquiry using your Globe Broadband Tattoo
i. Go to ‘Text’ and click on the envelope icon (first icon from left)
ii. Type ‘Bal’ in the compose message box and send to 222, then press ‘Send’
c. Network-related problem
